National NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year, to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.

10.30am they will raise the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags at the Civic Centre in Mair Street.

11am the celebration will continue at the Benalla Lakeside Community Centre. There you can enjoy:

Live music
Info stalls and displays by local organisations
Lucky door prizes and giveaways

This is a free event for all of the community - everyone is welcome.
