There is no better place to view the Ovens and King Valley and the Victorian Alps than from this vantage point.
Morgans Lookout is a nine-kilometre return walk to the lookout begins from the stile at Taminick Gap and follows Ridge Track. Park on the dirt carpark on the side of the Ridge Track, before the gate. The first section is a short steep climb up the sealed road to the communication towers. With the hardest climb behind you, the rest of the walk is moderate to easy.
This is a Grade 3 walk which may take up to 4 hours return.
A great walk to spot woodland birds, reptiles and grey kangaroos. Look out for austral grass trees and spurwinged wattles.
More information can be found in the Rural City of Wangaratta's Tracks and Trails Guide.
Please note track may be inaccessible due to flooding or road closures.
